A Year with Lone Golf – from first iron set to a growing golf series
Share
When we launched Lone Golf, we had a clear idea of what we wanted to create: golf equipment that combines feel, performance, and forgiveness in a more accessible package. We wanted to develop products that feel right in your hand, perform on the course, and at the same time maintain a level that golfers can truly rely on.
It has now been a year since our first clubs started reaching golfers, and a lot has happened since then.
What started with our first iron set, Lone 01, has grown into something bigger. Today, we also offer our wedges Lone W01, Lone Stand Bag, and Lone 01 separate club heads for those who want to build their own setup with shafts and grips of their choice. For us, it's a natural next step – but also proof that Lone Golf is on its way to becoming the brand we envisioned from the start.
From an idea to several parts of the game
When we developed Lone 01, the focus was on creating an iron set that provides a good balance between length, control, and forgiveness. It was meant to be a club suitable for many types of golfers and that feels safe to play with, regardless of skill level.
The feedback we've received over the past year has meant a lot to us. Seeing our clubs being used on the course, at the driving range, and in everyday life has not only been enjoyable – it has also helped us understand what golfers truly value.
It has made it clear to us that Lone is not just about an iron set. It's about building products for more parts of the game, with the same core idea in everything we do.
A product range that grows with the brand
With Lone W01, we took another step into the short game. The same focus on feel, confidence, and a clean design has been maintained, but in a format adapted for shots where precision and control are extra important.
With Lone Stand Bag, we wanted to create something that complements the overall experience. A bag is more than just storage – it's part of how the equipment is perceived, used, and carried throughout the round. For us, it was important that this aspect also felt well-thought-out and distinctly Lone.
The fact that we now also offer Lone 01 as separate club heads is another step in the same direction. Not all golfers are looking for the exact same solution, and the ability to build on with their own shafts and grips allows more people to customize their setup to suit their own game.
One year later – same core idea, greater whole
Even though the product range has grown, the basic idea remains the same. We believe in golf equipment that feels modern, well-thought-out, and accessible. We believe that good products don't have to cost more than necessary. And we believe in building a brand that feels close to the golfer – both in expression and in experience.
The first year has been about establishing ourselves, learning, developing, and moving forward. With each new product and each new golfer who finds us, it becomes clearer that Lone Golf is more than a launch. It is the beginning of something long-term.
Going forward
We are proud of what we have built so far, but we still see it as the beginning.
Lone Golf continues to develop with the same ambition as from day one: to create golf equipment that we ourselves believe in, and that more golfers want in their bag.
The first year has given us a strong foundation to build upon. Now we look forward to the next steps.
